Given the elegant look and feel, and intensive method of deriving silk, silk tends to be one of the more expensive textiles — relative to cotton or polyester, for example. For the former reason, silk makes for great, super soft and elegant nighttime and loungewear robes. Separately, fit is another aspect that should be considered when shopping for robes. Now, usually robes and bathrobes are cut to be loose-fitting, but, for this collection, we paid special attention to selecting fits that were both comfortable and flattering with detailed V-necklines and a contoured waistline.
